Inspirational Stays | Maison Verbier
Version 1.4, 24 October 2026
These terms are for our apartments in Verbier, Switzerland. Our UK properties are booked on separate terms, available on request.
These terms apply to every stay in one of our apartments in Verbier, Switzerland. Please read them before you book. By booking, the lead guest accepts them for everyone in the group.
1.1 You are booking with WolfPuff Development and Design Limited, trading as Inspirational Stays and Maison Verbier (“we” or “us”). Company number 12344837, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Milkingpen Lodge, Manor Lane, Old Basing, Basingstoke RG24 7DG, United Kingdom. Swiss VAT number CHE-315.902.137 MWST.
1.2 Contact: tim@inspirational-stays.com, +44 7356 062794, www.inspirational-stays.com. During your stay, use the phone number in your arrival instructions.
1.3 We rent the apartment to you as furnished holiday accommodation for a short stay. It is not your home, and Swiss tenancy protection does not apply (Article 253a(2) of the Swiss Code of Obligations). Stays longer than 3 months need a separate written agreement.
2.1 Your booking is confirmed when we confirm it in writing and the first payment has reached us.
2.2 The lead guest must be 18 or over and must stay for the whole booking. Only the guests named in the booking may stay overnight, up to the maximum number shown for the apartment.
2.3 You may not pass the booking on, sublet it or advertise it without our written agreement.
3.1 Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) unless your booking confirmation says otherwise. The price includes cleaning, bed linen, towels and Swiss VAT at the accommodation rate (currently 3.8 per cent).
3.2 Tourist tax. The commune of Val de Bagnes charges a tourist tax, currently CHF 4 per adult per night and CHF 2 per child aged 6 to 15; under 6s are free. It is not included in your price unless your booking says otherwise. We ask you to pay it about 7 days before arrival, at the same time as the security deposit or damage waiver in section 3.5. If you booked through a platform that has already collected it, we do not ask again. If the commune changes the rate, we pass the change on. The tax also gives you the free Verbier VIP Pass in summer.
3.3 Payment. 10 per cent of the total is due when you book. The balance is due 30 days before arrival, unless your booking confirmation gives a different date. If you book within 30 days of arrival, you pay in full when you book. We prefer bank transfer, as card payments cost us 3 per cent in fees; card payment is possible on request.
3.4 If the balance is not paid on time, we will remind you once. If it is still not paid 7 days later, we may cancel the booking, and section 4 applies as if you had cancelled.
3.5 Security deposit or damage waiver. About 7 days before arrival, at the same time as the tourist tax, you choose one of these:
If you do not choose, we place the hold.
4.1 Non-refundable rates. If your booking confirmation says your rate is non-refundable, there is no refund at any time if you cancel, shorten your stay or do not arrive, and the full price stays payable, including any balance not yet paid. This is the price of the lower rate.
4.2 Other rates. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, we refund everything you have paid. If you cancel 30 days or less before arrival, or do not arrive, there is no refund. But if we re-let some or all of your nights, we refund what we receive for them, less any extra costs of re-letting.
4.3 Please tell us in writing if you need to cancel. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
4.4 You can ask to change dates or guest numbers. We will try to help, but any change depends on availability and on our written agreement, and the price may change.
4.5 Snow conditions, weather, lift closures and ski school or event cancellations are not grounds for a refund. If the authorities close every road and rail route to Verbier on your arrival day, so you cannot reach the apartment, we will offer to move your nights to other dates.
How you booked decides which payment and cancellation rules apply to you. Everything else in these terms applies to every guest.
5.1 Through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or another platform. The platform’s rules on price, payment, cancellation, refunds and damage deposits apply instead of sections 3.3 to 3.5 and section 4. The rest of these terms apply as far as the platform’s rules allow.
5.2 Through an agency or partner. You pay the agency, on the agency’s own payment and cancellation terms, instead of sections 3.3, 3.4 and 4. The agency acts for us, so a payment you make to the agency counts as a payment to us. About 7 days before arrival we contact you directly about the tourist tax in section 3.2, the security deposit or damage waiver in section 3.5 and the guest registration in section 6.2. The agency’s own terms also cover the service it gives you.
5.3 Directly with us. Every section of these terms applies.
6.1 Check-in is from 16:00. Check-out is by 10:00. Earlier arrival or later departure is sometimes possible; ask us, and it may carry a charge. Your booking confirmation will say if your apartment has different times.
6.2 Guest registration. Swiss law requires us to register every guest with the commune for tourist tax. Before arrival, please send us each guest’s full name, date of birth and nationality, and your home address. Guests who are not Swiss residents may also need to give their passport or identity card number.
6.3 We send door codes and arrival instructions a few days before check-in, once full payment, the tourist tax, your security deposit or damage waiver and your registration details have reached us. Please keep codes to your group.
6.4 Please leave by 10:00 on the departure day. If you stay later without agreement, we may charge for the extra cleaning time and for any cost to the next guests.
7.1 These rules keep the apartment, the building and the neighbours in good order:
7.2 Please tell us straight away about any accident, damage or fault, so we can fix it.
7.3 We or our team may enter the apartment for an emergency, or for an urgent repair after telling you first.
8.1 You are responsible for the apartment and its contents during your stay, and for everyone in your group. Normal wear and tear is fine.
8.2 We charge the reasonable cost of putting right anything beyond that: damage, missing items, lost keys or access cards, cleaning far beyond the normal clean, and any fine caused by your group. Specialist cleaning after smoking inside costs from CHF 500. We will show you photos, receipts or quotes, and you can dispute any charge.
8.3 We are not responsible for your own belongings, unless we caused the loss.
8.4 If you chose the damage waiver in section 3.5, we do not charge you for accidental damage up to CHF 750. The waiver does not cover damage done on purpose or through gross negligence, breaking the rules in section 7, missing items or extra cleaning. Section 8.2 still applies to those, and to accidental damage above CHF 750.
9.1 If something is not right during your stay, tell us at once, so we have a fair chance to put it right. If a serious problem we cannot fix spoils part of your stay, such as no heating or hot water, we will offer a fair refund for the nights affected.
9.2 If we have to cancel because the apartment cannot be used, we will offer you another suitable apartment if we have one. If we do not, or you decline it, we refund everything you have paid for those nights.
9.3 We are not responsible for events outside our control, such as avalanche, road closures, extreme weather, travel disruption, power or water cuts from the supplier, or orders from the authorities. If the apartment is available but such an event stops you getting there or enjoying your stay as planned, there is no refund: please claim on your travel insurance. Only if the event means we cannot provide the apartment at all, for example the building is closed by the authorities, do we refund the nights affected, as Swiss law requires.
9.4 Please send any complaint in writing within 14 days of departure. We reply within 5 working days.
10.1 We are fully responsible for loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, and for injury to anyone caused by our fault.
10.2 Otherwise, our total responsibility is limited to the price of your stay. We do not pay for travel, ski passes, ski school or other bookings you made around your stay.
10.3 Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under mandatory law.
11.1 We use your details to manage your booking and stay, register you with the commune, take payment and keep our records. We share them only with the people who need them for that: our booking software and payment providers, our cleaning and maintenance team, the commune and the authorities when the law requires. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies to us, UK data protection law. Ask us at any time what we hold about you.
11.2 If you sign in to the guest WiFi, you give us your contact details. We send you offers only if you tick the box to agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
11.3 There are no cameras inside the apartments. Some buildings have cameras in shared areas, run by the building. If an apartment has a voice assistant for guest information, it only listens after you press its button.
12.1 Swiss law governs these terms. The courts where the apartment is located have jurisdiction, but this does not remove any right you have to bring a claim in your home country.
12.2 If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms for future bookings; the version in force when you booked applies to your stay.
